PM Vishwakarma Scheme : To provide assistance to the traditional craftsmen and artisans of the country in the business sector, the Government of India started the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana last year. Under this scheme, the government gives training to these people in a specific business field and provides loans at low interest rates to establish self-employment. Apart from this, they also get financial assistance for purchasing a tool kit of ₹ 15000 so that every poor craftsman gets employment opportunities and can become self-reliant.

PM Vishwakarma Scheme Details
Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, 17 different types of craftsmen have been included, which include blacksmiths, potters, carpenters, weavers, tailors and cobblers and other traditional artisans. Under this scheme, registered craftsmen are given training in their traditional field of work and after completion of the training, loans are made available at low interest rates to start a business, apart from this, they are given an assistance amount of ₹ 15000 for the purchase of necessary equipment.

The training will be for 7 days
Under the scheme, registered citizens are given free business training for 5 to 7 days and during the training they are also given a stipend of ₹ 500 every day which is sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT. On completion of the training, financial assistance of ₹ 1500 is given to the craftsmen to buy a tool kit and then they are also given a digital ID and digital certificate by the government. After completion of the training, they are given the opportunity to start a business by getting a collateral free loan.

You will have to go to the registration link and register yourself online and apply for the application form. Here you will be asked for some important information along with the necessary documents, which you have to upload and submit the application form.

Process to check payment status
The government has started the process of depositing ₹ 15000 in the accounts of those who have applied under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Gradually, the money for purchasing the toolkit will be transferred to the account of each beneficiary. - First of all visit the official website of the scheme https://pmvishwakarma.gov.in/ .
- The option of “Beneficiary Status” will be visible on the home page of the site, click on it.
- Now enter the mobile number linked with your Aadhar card here.
- After this, enter the captcha code and click on “Get OTP” button.
- Now you will receive an OTP on your mobile number, enter it and login to the page.
- On logging in, a dashboard will open on the screen from where you can check the status of your application, tool kit voucher and payment details etc.
